Acorn Recruitment is seeking an Electrical & Process Technician working with Europe's leading manufacturer of flat glass for the construction industry, including float, coated and laminated glass products.
Reporting to the Shift Manager you will work on all aspects of preventative electrical repair, maintenance and minor modifications across the coating line. This position also requires time each month in a process role which offers variety and the opportunity to learn new skills.
This position is shift based (12 hour shifts) requiring you to work 2 days, 2 nights and 4 off as a rolling shift pattern.
*Planned & Preventative Maintenance across the coating line - (Electrical & Some Minor Mechanical)
*Work as part of the coater production team - (We operate a multi-skill development programme)
*Fault finding and breakdown assistance as required
*Assistance to Team Leader in quality compliance according to procedures.

*Apprentice trained electrician and time served in the relevant trade discipline - essential.
*Some exposure to Mechanical tasks - desirable.
*Be willing to learn new skills specifically within the production process.
*Excellent Team Player, who demonstrates a flexible approach to their work.
*Experience of diagnosis and repair of electrical failures, routine maintenance and experience of instrumentation.
*Must recognise and promote the importance of adhering to site Health & Safety regulation.
