Systems Engineer, Fluidics & Maintenance
Salary Guide $100000- $150000 p.a.
Our client is seeking a motivated, self-reliant individual to join their Fluidics & Maintenance Team. The Fluidics and Maintenance team researches, designs, creates and verifies systems to support their Inkjet Printhead products. The team develops systems which :-
Supply ink at specified pressures and flows and manage operational transients to produce consistent, repeatable drop size and drop directionality
Maintain inkjet nozzle health via the prevention of and removal of surface contaminants
In addition, the team provides vital advice and support to both internal product development and OEM partner development teams.

Duties and Responsibilities
The purpose of the role is to research and develop systems designed to supply inkjet printheads with ink and to maintain the cleanliness and health of the printheads.
Your role as part of the specialist team will be working on inkjet maintenance systems for new applications. You will be self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision and take responsibility for the delivery of self-contained items of work.
In addition, you will :-
Have experience in tackling complex, multidisciplinary challenges
Demonstrate novel approaches to such problems
Show mechanical aptitude, combining design approach with practical, hands-on prototyping and verification and analysis skills
Be excited by technical problems and the opportunity to solve them
Be flexible and adaptable
Work well within a team
Provide excellent customer service
Experience & Skills
A background in electro-mechanical, systems.
Demonstrated aptitude for design and hands-on working
Ability to work with and respond quickly to evolving requirements
Ability to work independently within a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and scientists
3-5 years' work experience in a relevant field. (Consumer, Industrial, Medical/Healthcare, regulated/safety critical).
Bachelor's Degree in an engineering related discipline
Background in multidisciplinary problem solving
Experience with microfluidic systems
Ability to use scripting languages (such as Python) for test beds and prototyping
